A group of 10 randomly selected pieces from our Field Grade "A" artifact bins. These come from artifact collections found in various areas across the United States. This grade consists mostly of arrowheads and other projectile points, with an occasional nicer blade or tool included. They range from 500-10,000 years old and about 1.5"-4" in length. Grade "A" artifacts have that classic "arrowhead" look. They are generally more well-made, more intact, larger, and made of better quality materials than the Grade "B" category. The examples shown are typical of Grade "A" artifacts. Since these points are more aesthetically pleasing, they are great for displaying, collecting, crafts, as well as for educational purposes. Handling and examining Field Grade artifacts of known authenticity is one of the best ways for new collectors to learn about flaking styles, patina, and materials before investing in higher grade artifacts.
