Photo-based Artifact Appraisal

A photo-based artifact appraisal is one of our most popular services that we provide due to its low cost and fast turnaround. This service provides you with an estimated total retail replacement value for your collection, and covers up to 200 artifacts(if you have more than 200, multiple quantities can be purchased as needed). We recommend this step as a starting point for individuals who have a collection they are considering selling, insuring, or donating. This gives an initial idea of value that will help figure out what further action to take, without investing in a considerably more expensive in-person written appraisal up front. This service provides you with a group price only, and does not provide type or dating information. INSTRUCTIONS: Once check out is completed, reply to your emailed receipt, and attach your artifact photos to the email. When taking photos, place the artifacts on a solid background if possible, and make sure there is plenty of lighting. 50-100 items per photo works best. Do not send individual photos; we will let you know if we need more detailed views once we start the appraisal. Include a ruler or tape measure in the photo for size reference. See example photos. Once we have appraised your collection, we will email you with the results, which we can usually have ready within 1-2 business days.

NOTE: Pricing on in-person written appraisals varies depending on the size of the collection, travel expenses, and type of artifacts. Contact us for a price estimate if you feel you need an in person appraisal instead.
